About The CLSB
The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) protects consumers by regulating the construction industry through policies that promote the health, safety and general welfare of the public in matters relating to construction. The CSLB licenses and regulates contractors in 43 license classifications, investigates complaints against contractors, and through SWIFT (Statewide Investigative Fraud Team), works to eliminate the number of unlicensed contractors working in California.
Check A Contractor’s License Status By Number
One of the first steps in investigating a contractor is to check out the pool company’s license. Are they still licensed? Do they have a C-53?
Perform a Home Improvement Salesperson Registration Check
Additionally it is a good idea to check out your pool company’s salesperson, by name. Are they registered and active?
